Senior Operations Manager
Who we are:
Stake is the MENA region's leading real estate fintech company, combining real estate expertise and
financial technology to deliver products that empower everyone to own and build wealth through real estate. Launched in 2021, we've grown rapidly to 600+ properties and are expanding into new
international markets and business lines.
The Operations Team
Stake's Operations team delivers on the promise we make to investors: from the day a property joins
the platform to the day it exits, we make fractional ownership work. We sit at the centre of the
business, and we are currently building the operating machine that a portfolio of this size needs:
documented processes, real controls, and automation replacing manual work.
We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to lead Business Operations: the money and
investor-facing side of the operation. Reporting directly to the SVP of Company Operations, you will
own the performance of our core money processes, lead a team, and build the controls and
documentation that let this function scale without depending on any one person. If you're energized
by the idea of running a complex operation and making it meaningfully better every quarter, this is
the job.
🤓 What you’ll do:
Core Business Operations
Own the core money processes end to end: the weekly dividend cycle, reconciliation, payables, receivables, forecasting, investor votes and exits.
Lead and develop a team of operations specialists. Set clear expectations, drive high performance, and invest in their growth.
Identify and implement improvements to operational processes, leveraging technology and operational best practices to scale efficiently.
Build the controls that catch problems before investors do: reconciliation before payout, invoice-level verification, and alerting on the things that currently surface only when someone notices them.
Document every core process you own, and maintain named cover for each one, so nothing critical depends on a single person, including you.
Partner with Finance as a genuine counterpart on reconciliation, receivables collection and cost allocation. This interface is where most of our friction lives and fixing it is part of the role.
Monitor and track the performance of Stake's property portfolio, coordinating with the Property Management team to address underperformance, tenant issues, and operational challenges.
Give stakeholders across the business clear visibility into asset performance through dashboards, periodic reports, and ad-hoc insights.
Own investor communications related to property updates: tenancy status, maintenance events, and exceptional circumstances such as legal disputes or major renovations.
Cross-Functional and Strategic
Provide strategic input on the company's most pressing operational issues while leading cross-functional projects.
Support new business initiatives and product lines as Stake enters new markets.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulators, auditors, and other external stakeholders. We are DFSA and CMA regulated: processes need to withstand scrutiny, not just work.
Translate operational challenges into product enhancements and technology priorities, working closely with Asset Management, Transactions, Finance, and Product teams.
👀 What we’re looking for:
Must-haves:
7+ years in operations, with meaningful time spent in financial services, fintech, or real estate.
End-to-end ownership of operational processes at real scale (not just execution or documentation, but designing, running, and improving them).
Direct experience managing financial flows: reconciliations, distributions, payables and receivables. You don't need to be a finance professional, but you've run operations in these areas.
Strong analytical and financial acumen. You're comfortable in Excel, you think in data, and you catch what others miss.
You genuinely enjoy the operational detail. Sitting with the actual process, the actual numbers, the actual mess is where you like to be, not managing it from a distance.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions and manage up to senior leadership.
Experience in a high-growth or startup environment where you've had to build or scale processes without a playbook.
You think in systems. When something breaks, your instinct is to ask why the process allowed it, not just to fix the instance. You solve things once, properly, rather than repeatedly.
Comfort with operational technology: databases, systems, automation tools. You don't need to write code, but you should know what's possible and push for it.
Experience leading and developing a team.
Fluency in English
Strong preferences:Experience operating in a regulated environment (DFSA, CMA, FCA or equivalent).
An AI-first instinct. When you look at a manual process, you're already asking what a machine could handle and where a human is genuinely needed. You've used AI to remove real work, and you have views on where it works and where it doesn't.
Arabic language skills.
😇 Why you should join Stake:
Hybrid work environment
Work directly with senior leadership in one of the region's fastest-growing startups. You'll have exposure to every function and the chance to shape how the company operates.
Generous equity compensation. As Stake grows, you grow with it.
Budget for learning and development.
Best-in-class end-of-service savings scheme through the DIFC DEWS programme.
Regular team events and off-sites.
Stake has a high-performance culture where the bar is always rising. We bring on ambitious, curious people who see the value in what we're building and want to grow with us.
